1 Avast! Antivirus
Free for home use, Avast! provides real-time scanning and protection from infections. (Windows & Linux)
2 Comodo Antivirus
Freeware antivirus utility with realtime detection and prevention. (Windows XP or later).
3 Comodo Firewall
A fairly powerful firewall program, that provides both incoming and outgoing control. Provides many of the features of ZoneAlarm Pro that are locked in the free ZoneAlarm. (Windows 2000 or later)
4 Comodo Password Management
This free password management program allows you to store and encrypt your passwords so that you don't have to memorize but one, and no one can walk off with your password list. (Windows 2000 or later)
5 KeePass
An open-source program for keeping track of your passwords securely. The database is encrypted to prevent password theft, which is accessed either via a password or a key-disk. (Cross-platform)
6 Password Safe
Open-source password management program. (Windows)
7 TrueCrypt
An open-source, on-the-fly encryption program. Allows the user to create an encrypted volume which can be mounted like a drive on a computer. Great for portable media, but requires administrator rights to install driver. (Windows & Linux)
